Membership Information for 2014
We would like to say thank you for your enquiry about our club. Please take time to read all the information contained in the Musgrave Pony Club Members handbook. It will provide you with a basic understanding of the workings of our club and the ideals of Pony Club. It briefly outlines our responsibilities as a club and your responsibilities as a member. It is a guide however, if you have any further questions they can be directed to a member of our club management committee.
Annual Fees
These fees are due before riding on the Pony Club grounds to comply with the PCAQ public liability policy. In accordance with PCAQ procedure, all applications or transferring memberships will be discussed by the Musgrave Management Committee for approval. (Renewal of past membership does not infer membership for 2014 will be approved). At least one adult member from each family is required to join (either as a riding or a social member). Every rider under the age of 18 must have an adult join and this adult must be in the grounds for the individual to ride.

Full lists of requirements are in the PCAQ Rule books & if you are unsure please ask.
Rally participation - All RIDERS on club grounds during RALLY TIMES are expected to participate in the rally. You will NOT be allowed to wander off and do your own thing. You MUST be under Instructor supervision at all times - no exceptions.
If you want to ride and do your own thing, come back outside rally times.
Young Riders - must remain under the supervision of their parent/guardian and will not join classes with older riders. Riders must be competent enough to control their horses before being allowed to join in classes.
Things to do before the commencement of the rally
- Sign the attendance book, you should know your PIC Number (Property Identification iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiCode) The club’s attendance book is a record of the number of attendances – you ooooooooooooneed to participate in 2 rallies to attend state competitions, 4 rallies to be eligible for iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiend of year trophies)
- Pay $2 – deposit in coin box
- Food Order – write order in book if you want hot food
- Apply Sunscreen – provided free in clubhouse or available during announcements
- Have a drink – be ready to ride
Here are some ways you can contribute to the running of a rally -
Be on Time – If your child is dependent on you for transport to the grounds, then get them there on time. Latecomers are unpopular with instructors as their arrival disrupts a carefully planned lesson that has already begun.
Be Tactful – Take an interest, but never interrupt a lesson in progress by talking to the instructor or to the child or by making audible comments on the sidelines. If you are really unhappy about what is being done, have a word with the Chief Instructor or whoever is in charge of the rally, or with the Club President.
Be Helpful – assist with the setting up of equipment eg jumps, games participation, acting as stewards, timekeepers etc.
